Fredia Lee Alvarado

Fredia Lee Alvarado, age 80, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2021. She was born September 16, 1941. Babysitting was Fredia's passion and she spoke of it fondly, even in her final days. She remembered the names of the children she kept and, often, told stories about them. Some would say it was the "work she was born to do". She also loved to sew and make baby blankets. After she retired from babysitting, she held many showings and displayed and sold the blankets she had made. Before his passing, her husband, Al, spent much of his time helping her set-up and tear-down her displays. Her family has peace knowing she and Al are reunited and are in heaven with all those that have gone on before them. Fredia is survived by her daughter, Jan Stephens; her sister, Susie Depriest, and her brother, Stevie Stephens. Fredia was preceded in death by her husband, Al Alvarado; her daughter, Vivian Padilla; her brother, Jimmy Stephens, her brother, Johnny Stephens; and her canine companion and friend, Sammy.
