Gary Nathan “Papa” Cayce, age 69, born on May 14, 1951 in Sweetwater, Texas to Clinton and Nancy Cayce passed away in Nashville, Tennessee on September 9, 2020. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Nanette Cayce. Gary is survived by his loving wife, Sandra A. Cayce, who he spent 27 wonderful years with. Also surviving are his children, Jennifer (Garrett) Eads of Pleasant View, Tennessee, Ann (Mike) Castle of Arlington, Texas, and Jennifer Dawn (Shawn) Slawson of Chickasha, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Jordan Eads, Nathan Eads, Katie Castle, Kellie Castle, and Conner Covington.
Gary graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Stephen F. Austin University and later received an Associate’s degree in Christian Studies. He enjoyed serving God, golf, and music. Gary was a member of Highland Park Church in Nashville, Tennessee.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2020 from four o’clock to seven o’clock at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at three o’clock with a one hour gathering prior to the service also held at the funeral home.
