Owen, George E. Sr. age 81 of Nashville, October 30, 2013. Survived by his wife of 61 years, Shirley M. Owen; daughter, Judy (Jerry) Joines; son, George E. (Becky) Owen, Jr.; daughter, Mona Coode; son, Bobby (Kandie) Owen; son, Michael (Robin) Owen; twelve grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; brother Harold Dean Owen; Mr. Owen retired as Captain from Nashville Fire Dept. after 39 years of service. Funeral service will be conducted on Monday November 4, 2013 at one p.m. in Woodlawn's Dignity Hall with The Reverend Mark Hunt officiating, placement to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Sunday from twelve noon until eight p.m. and two hours prior to the service on Monday
