Geraldine Haugh Stiff

Geraldine (Gerry) H. Stiff was born in East Orange, NJ on November 12, 1934. She passed away on October 3, 2017 in Columbia, TN at Maury County Regional Hospital. She graduated from Clifford J Scott High School in East Orange, NJ then attended business school at Rutgers University. While attending Rutgers she worked for Mutual Life Insurance Co. for six years. She then became a stewardess for American Airlines in the late 1950’s. President William McKinley was her great uncle. She married H. T. Stiff on December 31, 1961 and they lived in Franklin, TN. She and her husband later moved to Kentucky in 1988 where she became an agent with Century 21 Real Estate. She retired in 1998 as a real estate agent and moved back to Lewisburg, TN until her death. Gerry attended St. John’s Catholic Church in Lewisburg, TN. She is preceded in death by her husband, H. T. Stiff; parents, James F. Haugh and Geraldine H. Haugh; brothers, Captain Ed Haugh, Jimmy Haugh, Billy Haugh and sister, Mary Jane Haugh. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Stiff (Steve) Martin; her son James F. (Angie M.)Stiff; step children, Dr. Linda L. Stiff Atwill, Ward D. (Lisa) Stiff and Dennis R. Stiff. Gerry had 10 grandchildren: Austin T. Martin, Tara A. Martin, McKinley E. Stiff, Mensi J. Stiff, Courtney Lightner, Grant Stiff, Tanner Stiff, Hilary Dreidame, Hunter Dreidame and Erin Dreidame. Visitation will be held from eleven o’ clock in the morning until one on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Woodlawn with Funeral Service to follow at one.
