Thacker, Helen Cope, age 88, passed into eternal rest on May 7, 2021. Helen was born in Nashville, TN on August 4, 1932. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Thacker, her parents, Charles W. Cope and Alice Lunn Cope, sisters, Jeanne Cope Crawford, Betty Jo Cope Tucker, brother, Charles E. Cope, infant son, David Thacker, and grandchildren, Bret Thacker and Abigail Little.
Helen is Survived by her children, Terry (Deborah) Thacker, Glenn (Nancy) Thacker, Marie (Rhea) Little, and Alan (Laurel) Thacker. "Gran" as she was affectionately known, is survived by her grandchildren Kristin, Erin, Sarah, David, Tracie, Eric, Meghan and Grace, and several great grandchildren. Being "Gran" was one of Helen's greatest joys in life.
Helen graduated from Central High School, in Nashville, TN (Class of 1950). She married her sweetheart, Albert Lee Thacker on July 28, 1950.
Helen retired from GMAC Financial and was a longtime, active member of Vultee Church of Christ. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and traveling.
Helen's beautiful smile, and love for her family will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 12 from 10-12 with a graveside service immediately following.
