

Herman Howard Stevens Sr., age 85, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025. Born on August 9, 1939, in Bonifay, Florida, Howard lived a life marked by dedication, craftsmanship, and a deep love for his family and the outdoors.
On January 13, 1962, Howard married the love of his life, Barbara A. Stevens, in Lake Wales, Florida. Together they shared over six decades of enduring love and partnership.
Howard worked for many years as a welder for Stauffer Chemical Company, where he was respected for his skill and hard work. Outside of his career, he found joy in the simple and meaningful things—he was an avid hunter and fisherman, and he spent countless hours refinishing furniture with patience and care. His loyal dog, Belair, was always by his side, a constant companion.
Howard is survived by his devoted wife, Barbara Stevens; his children, Dana Fedie (Michael) and Tony Stevens; his granddaughter, Melodie Fedie-Arcand (Daniel); his great-grandson, Lucas Raymond Arcand; and his sister, Clara Llewellyn.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Carris Edwin Stevens and Lillie B. Stevens; his son, Herman “Stevie” Stevens Jr.; his brother, Eddie Stevens; and his sister, Katherine Stevens.
Howard will be remembered for his quiet strength, his love of nature, his hands that built and restored, and the deep care he had for his family. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, devotion, and love.
