Homer Brooks Brown, Jr. died August 16, 2016, at his home in Nashville, Tennessee. He was married to Ashlee Greer Brown (1927-2015) for 59 years. Their children are Laura Brown Hill; Amy Brown, married to Geoffrey Brittingham; and Ed Brown, married to Diane Luyster Brown. Their grandchildren are Jacob Brooks Hill, married to Stephanie O’Keefe Hill; Buckley Daniel Brown; Hudson Gamble Brown; and Maxwell Justice Brown. He was born in Nashville, TN March 10, 1925, son of the late Ida and Homer B. Brown, Sr. Homer graduated from Duncan Preparatory School in 1941. He then went to Vanderbilt University School of Engineering until entering the Army in April of 1943. Returning home after thirty-three months, he returned to Vanderbilt and graduated cum laude in the spring of 1948. Homer was owner/partner of the Homer B. Brown Company, Check Printers, Inc., and Nashville Envelope Company. He was closely associated with the Chas. Hawkins Realty, Co. He was also a member of Woodmont Christian Church. Visitation will be at Woodmont Christian Church on Friday, August 19, 2016, from nine-thirty to eleven o’clock in the morning followed by funeral service at eleven. Graveside service will follow immediately at Woodlawn Memorial Park on Thompson Lane.
