Howard E "Mac" McAdams, of Antioch, Tennessee, passed away on February 10, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on February 23, 1939, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Richard and Carolyn McAdams.
He attended Antioch High School, laying the foundation for a lifelong connection to his hometown. He dedicated 50 years to his career as an auto mechanic before retiring.
Mac married Wayna McAdams on October 31, 1958, in Nashville, Tennessee. They shared 65 years of marriage until her passing in 2023. Howard is survived by his daughters, Karen Riley (Mike) and Cheryl McMahon (Kenny); his grandsons, Trevor McMahon and Travis McMahon (Kayla); and his sister, Ann Ankenbauer.
Howard's personal interests included trips to the beach, spending time with his beloved cats, and feeding and watching birds. He was a familiar face at the local YMCA, where he enjoyed socializing with friends as much as—if not more than—exercising. He was also a devoted member of the Antioch Church of Christ.
