CROSSMAN, James E. age 87 of Nashville, August 19, 2012. Preceded in death by his wife Doris Crossman. Survived by daughter, Judy (Bill) Gemmill; son, Philip Crossman; daughter, Cathy (Gene) Bressler; ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Mr. Crossman will be remembered as a kind, and devoted husband, father and grandfather who served his Lord, Jesus Christ throughout his life. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII where he participated in the invasion of Okinawa and Normandy during D-Day. Funeral service to be conducted the morning of Thursday August 23, at ten a.m. in the Heritage Chapel of First Church of The Nazarene 510 Woodland Street. Interment to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be the afternoon of Wednesday August 22, 2012 at Woodland Street Mall entrance of the church from four to eight p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. The family request that memorials be made to The Wounded Warrior Project or Alive Hospice of Nashville.
