James Herbert Dean

  Dean, James Herbert, passed on to the fullness of life on Friday evening, May 9, 2014.  He was 78 years old.  Born at the family homestead on March 19, 1936, in Hornbeak, TN, to Fred and Annie Deen.  He served as a minister within the Detroit area, including Livonia Church of Christ and Northeast Church of Christ.  Served as a founding board member of the Church of Christ Care Center in Clinton Township, Michigan, and as a board member of Luckett Christian Academy in Royal Oak, Michigan. He worked for EcoLab as a District Sales Manager for 15 years.  He was a member and elder of the Rochester Hills Church of Christ and, after moving to Tennessee, a member of Linary Church of Christ, and, most recently, a member of the Brentwood Hills Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Charlotte; their four children, Dan (Nancy) Dean, Dave (Lori) Dean, Sara Linton, and Tracy Dean; their six grandchildren, Laura, Andrew, Ryan, Bethany, Rachel, and Phillip; and their great-grandchildren, Saria and Sage.   Visitation is Tuesday, May 13th from 4:30PM to 7PM with a memorial service immediately following at 7PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, TN 37204.
