

Mr. Kenneth English, age 72, of Nashville, TN, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2015. Mr. English was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on January 24, 1943, the son of the late James Lee English and Margaret Lee Brown. He devoted 33 years of his life to Textron as a machinist creating and assembling airplane wings. After his retirement, he could be found lounging in his chair watching television or out fishing. Mr. English served our country in the Air Force. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Jerry English, and one grandson, Chad Hicks. Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Joyce English; four daughters, Karen (Mike) Becker, Joanna (Randy) Hicks, Elsa (Stanker) Carter and Teresa (Randy) Lindsey; two sons, David (Kim) Blackwell and Michael (Cynthia Hollis) Blackwell; two sisters, Elaine (Donnie) McCluskey and Theresa (Steve) Conrad; one brother, David (Debra) English; fourteen grandchildren; thirty-five great grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren, and a host of several others relatives. A gathering of family & friends will be held on Friday, October 2, 2015, from twelve noon until eight o’clock in the evening at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, and also on Saturday, October 3, 2015, from ten-thirty in the morning until the funeral hour.
