John Murry Beard (97) of Nashville, TN passed away peacefully on January 21, 2020. He was born in Franklin, TN on January 7, 1923. John was a hard-working, strong and very loving man whom impacted the lives of everyone he met. He was a dad, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend and most importantly, a son of God. John married the love of his life, Myra in 1946 and had five sons. He retired from Metro Nashville Public Schools where he worked in maintenance, but his real passion was being a gunsmith. You could often find John hunting, fishing or playing pool. He is survived by sons Danny (Peg), Eddy (Judy) and Kevin, twelve grandchildren and twenty three great grandchildren. And proceeded in death by his father, Walter Beard, mother, Rebecca Simmons, ten siblings, first wife, Myra, sons Ken and Jeff, and second wife, Lillie Mae.
