
John B. McLemore, Age 91, passed away on October 16, 2017 following a brief illness. He was born in Blanche, TN on July 4, 1926, the oldest of eight children. He was predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Charm, brothers, Richard (Pete), Don, David, and Larry and sister, Rachel and a granddaughter, Abigail McLemore. John is survived by daughters, MaryLynn (Tom) Santa and Sandra (Mike) Stimola – both of Redding, CT and Cindy (Ron) Chambers of Brentwood, TN, and his sons, Kenneth (Claudia) McLemore of Houston, TX and Thomas (Carole) McLemore of Ridgefield, CT, and brothers, Phil McLemore of Blanche, TN and Jerry (Ann) McLemore of Ripley, MS, and fifteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. After graduating from high school, John served in the Navy in the Pacific Ocean Theater including the battles of Okinawa during World War II. He graduated from Ole Miss (University of Mississippi) with a degree in Business Administration and later attended Columbia University’s Executive Program in Business. His career included Manager of Accounting of Motorola’s Semi-Conductor Division and Vice President and Controller of UMC Industries. While working in Phoenix, AZ, John served as President and Board Member of the Arizona Chapter of the Financial Executive’s Institute. Visitation will be held from eleven o’ clock in the morning until one on Friday, October 21, 2017 at Woodlawn with light refreshments. Funeral Service will follow at one o’ clock in the afternoon in Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall. Burial immediately following at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Friends and family are welcome. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Forest Hills United Methodist Church of Brentwood, or to the Alzheimer’s Association in honor of John’s loving wife, Charm.
