John Leonard Sutton

Mr. Sutton was born in Clearwater, Florida, the son of the late Benjamin Sutton and Ernestine Wittmeyer Sutton. He labored as a cabinetmaker, a car remodeler and an upholsterer. Mr. Sutton was the jack-of-all-trades and the epitome of a selfless person; he never met a stranger and loved interacting with others. He proudly served our country as an Aircraft Mechanic in the Air Force.

In addition to his parents, his two children, Johnny Gleandon Sutton and Marye Elizabeth England, preceded him in death.

He is survived by his sons, Brian Sutton and his wife, Quinetta, Brad Sutton, and Ben Sutton and his wife, Nicole; one daughter, Andrea Spears and her husband, Donnie; five grandchildren, Brian Lee Sutton Jr. and his wife, Rebecca, Adam and Trevor Spears, and Quinton and Brittany Hennessee; and two great-grandchildren, Miracle Lynn Hennessee and Cadence Alexander Sutton.

The Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, January 11, 2016 at Mount Olivet Funeral Home at one o’clock in the afternoon.

The family will receive friends from eleven o’clock in the morning until service time.

Interment and military honors will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Veterans Administration.
