Joe was a graduate of Battleground Academy. He attended Washington and Jefferson College and graduated from Vanderbilt University. He was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Joseph was employed as an investment broker for over 40 years. Joe retired from Wiley Brothers, Inc. He was active in Republican politics for most of his life.
Predeceased by his parents, Dr. Herbert Francis and Katherine Chapman Francis.
Survived by wife, Sara J. Alford Francis of Nashville, TN and brother, Jack Francis of Sunnyvale, CA.
Visitation with the family will be held from three o’ clock in the afternoon until five on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. Private Services will be held at a later date.
