

He was born October 27, 1980 in Columbia, SC to Penny and John Treece and was a resident of Antioch, Tennessee.
Joshua graduated from Brookland Cayce High School and received his bachelor’s degree in Bible Studies from Columbia International University. He worked as a youth pastor in San Diego, California and Columbia, SC before pursuing his master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from Trevecca Nazarene University where he was elected to Chi Sigma Iota National Graduate Counseling Honor Society. He established Mount Spero Counseling in 2018 and was passionate about supporting his clients.
He met his beloved wife, Leigh-Ann, when they were both employed at Starbucks in Columbia. They were married for 5 years and enjoyed life together with their dog Miller. Josh loved his little family and spent much of his time devising ways to make their life special. He was very much loved.
Josh was a loved and cherished older brother. He and his brother Caleb, to whom he often referred as his favorite person, enjoyed “brother days” where they would take part in both Caleb and Josh’s favorite past-times, watching old movies, eating breakfast, or exploring Columbia.
Joshua is survived by his wife, parents, brother; his great-aunt Daisy Hartin (Jim); and many beloved family members Pattie Mikell (David); Janine Mikell; Melanie Yoder (David); Jake Pou (Diane); Charles Pou (Becky); Mother and Father-in-law Jeff and Sarah Forsythe and Brother-inlaw Jeffrey Forsythe (Hannah).
He will be greatly missed by all.
Joshua was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Jacob and Louise Pou; Aunt Harriet Pou; Paternal grandparents Glenna Lovell (Clarence); Patsy keels (Nanny); and Henry Keels (Papa).
A Celebration of Life service was held at Trinity Baptist Church 2003 Charleston Hwy Cayce, SC 29003 on Sunday June 11th, 2023. The family greeted guests before the service.
