Judith Dorene Horne

Judith Dorene Horne, age 75, of Nashville, Tennessee , passed away peacefully on August, 6, 2024 in Nashville, Tennessee . Born on November 19, 1948, in Nashville, she was the beloved daughter of Callie Dorene Hunter Horne and Sam Martin Horne.

Judy, as she was affectionately known, graduated from St. Bernard’s Catholic School before embarking on a career with Bell South. After graduating, she moved to Florida, where she lived in various locations across the state. Her love for travel took her to destinations around the globe, including Italy, Egypt, Africa, and Australia, and she cherished every experience and conversation about her journeys.

A devoted family member, Judy always prioritized taking care of her loved ones and others around her. Known for her warm and engaging personality, she never met a stranger and had a particular fondness for conversing with and honoring veterans. Judy also enjoyed dining out, preferring to make reservations rather than cook, and was a regular attendee at Mass wherever she lived.

Judy is remembered for her vibrant spirit, her deep affection for her family, and her zest for life. Her legacy of kindness, generosity, and her adventurous spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

A funeral mass for Judith will be held Friday, August 8, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at St. Ann Catholic Church, 5101 Charlotte Ave, Nashville, TN 37209.
