She worked 37 years as a cake decorator. A devoted follower of Christ who demonstrated her faith daily through service and hospitality to everyone she encountered. She was a die-hard sports fan who loved Vanderbilt, the Titans, and the Predators—no matter how much they won or lost.
She served many years in the Sunday School nursery at Glencliff Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Vanessa Huddleston (Richard) of Lebanon, TN; two sons, Mark Medley (Angela) of Woodbury, TN, and James C. Medley (Rhonda) of Smyrna, TN; fourteen grandchildren, forty-one great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred J. Medley Sr., and sons, Fred J. Medley Jr. and Dewey Lee Medley.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 14, 2025, from 12:20 PM to 2:30 PM, with a service to follow at 2:30 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, TN 37204. Burial will follow the service.
