I have so many, where to start...the highlight of my summer when I was younger was spending time with Nana Gay and Papa Bill. Nana Gay would take me anywhere and everywhere ❤ to the movies and load me up with popcorn and candy, then shopping all over town and was sure to grab me some Krystals before coming home to hang out with Papa Bill and the gang! 

Couldn't have asked for more loving and fun grandparents! I miss you both very much and wish you could have spent more time with Bailey. You'll always be in my heart and I will make sure to spoil Bailey like you did me 😉😙

My favorite memory of Gay was when she worked at the drug store on Belmont.  One day after work, she had brought the convertible to work.  After work; she took about 5 of us riding around the neighborhood.  I was about 14...i thought that was SO cool.

Gay was a great person she was one of my drivers. Gay did her best to keep me out of trouble that was a big job but she tried.  One day Gay was out and I managed to get suspended not just off the bus but out of school the last 3 days. Nothing like having Gay disappointed in you while kicking yourself. Many years later I started driving a school but and she said I hope them kids give you just as much  trouble as you gave me. I told her I had a good teacher and would be okay. Rest in peace Gay.

My best memory of Gay was that she was a constant babysitter for Sheryl and me.  She loved animals as did I, and I loved her for it. I will miss her everyday even though she will be with baby Norris as she always called him even at fifty years old. God keep you in His arms.  I love you.

My older sister Gay walked me to elementary school at Saint Joseph my first through third grade.  Once in first grade, a difficult nun took my change purse away because I got it out too early before lunch. Right away I found Gay;  she went right in the teacher's desk and and retrieved it for me - not an issue for her. 

Another time,  she was featured in the Nashville Banner Red O'Donnell column for holding our unusual group of baby bunnies with the caption, "Three rabbits with three ears."  Later when the mother rabbit died, she feed the babies with doll bottles. She loved her family, nature, animals, and driving the church bus as well as the school bus.

Gay worked hard to earn her GED;  I was there to watch her accept the diploma, a proud moment for both of us. 

I am happy that Gay is now with her son, Randy, who  died last year.  He makes all things beautiful in His time. RIP.  Love, Sheryl
