

MUNZ, LeeAge 78 of Nashville. Lee served his country as a Korean War Veteran in the U.S. Air Force. He attended the University of Houston, California Western University, and the University of Tennessee. He held managerial positions with Kaiser Mfg., Precision Scientific Development Co., EG&G, Economic Opportunities Consortium, and SSOE. He served as Assistant Commissioner for the State of Tennessee Office of Economic Development and was the executive director of Tennessee Homecoming '86. Prior to his serving on Governor Lamar Alexander's staff, he served on the planning committee for the 1982 World's Fair. Lee retired from SSOE Architects & Engineers. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ferd and Babette Munz; brother, Robert Gordon Munz, and is survived by his devoted wife of 30 years, Pamela Munz; children, Lee Munz, Jr., Julie Marie Baumgardner, Susan Diane Munz and stepson, Todd Moss and wife Sarah Rimer Moss; grandchildren, Ashley Baumgardner and Evan Moss; in-laws, John and Annell Kalashian; extended family includes Dean and Norma Sheucraft, Derrek and Heather Sheucraft, Lexie Sheucraft, Lia Sheucraft, Deana Sheucraft and Neely Sheucraft. A visitation celebrating Lee's life will be held on Saturday, January 29th, between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., at Woodlawn -Roesch-Patton Funeral Home in Nashville. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Lovie's Legacy Animal Welfare and Education (www.lovieslegacy.org) or to the Faculty Scholarship Fund of the Nashville State Foundation (www.nscc.edu). The family would also like to thank Odyssey Hospice for the care and kindness they extended Lee, as well as Drs. Meluch, Infante, and the staff of Tennessee Oncology. A special thank you to Johnny Mathis, Bill Lucas, Faye Jones, the "Dawgs" supper club, and the countless friends, colleagues, and business associates who enriched Lee's personal and professional life. Lee enjoyed playing golf at Percy Warner Park. He also loved to fish anytime, any place.
