She was born on November 6, 1947, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of the late John William and Loretta Kathryn Paetz Kistner. She worked as a health educator for over 25 years. Mrs. Swink was a devout Catholic and member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church for most of her life. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James David Swink, Sr.
She is survived by daughter, Melissa Mann and her husband, Kevin; son, James David Swink, Jr.; grandsons, Paul Mann, Aaron Mann and Gregory Mann; sisters, Kay Kistner Griffin, Mary Helen Bettcher and her husband, Mel, and Peggy Kistner Griesel; one brother, William L. “Bill” Kistner, and several other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm.
The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 27, 2016 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 10:00 am with Father Mark Hunt officiating.
Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
