

Lisa Spencer Heslep, 55, of Smyrna, died February 27th, 2017. Lisa was born in New Martinsville, WV to James and Wanda Spencer. She was a 1979 graduate of Paden City High School. She went on to earn an associates degree from Fairmont State College. She possessed a very strong work ethic and loved her job with Willis Towers Watson. Her greatest love, however was her family. She loved her husband and sons more than life itself. She was equally loved by her family and friends. She was kind hearted and a joy to be around. Lisa is preceded in death by her son, Jesse Heslep; her mother, her brother Terry Spencer, and grandparents. Lisa is survived by her beloved husband Tim of Smyrna, son Matt of San Diego, California, sister Robin Spencer of Paden City, WV; brother Tony Spencer and his wife Ulyana Troy, Ohio, brother Tom Spencer of Bellefonte, Pennsylvania. Sister-in law Nova Spencer also of Bellefonte, father- and mother-in-law Jerry and Pat Heslep of Parkersburg, WV, sister in law Gwen Justice of Mineral Wells, WV, brothers in law Mark Heslep of Vienna, WV, Todd Heslep of Parkersburg, WV, several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews, all of whom she adored. She also leaves behind her very dear and devoted friend Karen Bailey of White House, Tennessee. Funeral service will be held at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, Nashville, on March 4, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. The family will receive visitors from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Nashville Musicians Fund, Local 257, American Federation of Musicians, Nashville, TN at 11 Music Circle North, Nashville, TN 37203.
Jesse Heslep, 25, of Smyrna, died Monday, February 27th, 2017.
Jesse graduated in 2009 from Smyrna High School. He was known for his musical giftedness. He was rarely seen without a guitar in his hands, his fingers on the piano keys, or a harmonica in his mouth. He was also known as the most loving, kind hearted, tender soul. He loved his family so deeply, never missing a day to tell them just how much. Jesse was an avid music historian and a classic car enthusiast. Jesse is preceded in death by his grandfather, James Spencer, grandmother, Wanda Owens, and Uncle Terry Spencer. Jesse is survived by his devoted father, Tim, of Smyrna, brother Matt of San Diego, California, grandparents Jerry and Pat Heslep of Parkersburg, WV aunts Robin Spencer of Paden City, WV and Gwen Justice of Mineral Wells, WV, Nova Spencer of Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, uncles Tony Spencer and his wife Ulyana of Troy, Ohio, Tom Spencer of Bellefonte Pennsylvania, Mark Heslep of Vienna, WV, and Todd Heslep of Parkersburg and WV and several cousins.
