Malcolm "Mack" C Matthews

Malcolm "Mack" C. Matthews, age 77, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on August 13, 2025. Born on June 20, 1948, in Nashville, Mack was the beloved son of the late Henry Clay Matthews Sr. and Margaret Louise Pardue Matthews.

A proud graduate of Howard High School, Mack went on to earn an associate degree from Draughons Junior College. He later became a well-known local business owner, operating the Cash Depot for 15 years.

Mack served his country with honor as a veteran of Foreign Wars and remained active in the veteran community as a member of the American Legion Post 88. He cherished his time spent at the Legion on Saturday nights, surrounded by his daughters, friends and laughter.

A man of simple joys, Mack loved spending time with his family and friends, watching football, and cheering on his favorite NASCAR drivers. He will be remembered for his warmth, easygoing nature, and unwavering loyalty to those he loved.

Mack is survived by his daughters, Sherri Matthews-Bradley and Terri Matthews-Potts; and his grandchildren, Olivia Bradley, Carolena Bradley, Evan Potts, and Elijah Potts. He is also survived by two of his siblings, Margaret Matthews-Jarrell and Doug Matthews; and by the mother of his children, Nancy Matthews-Hinote.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six of his siblings.

A gathering of family and friends for Mack will be held Friday, August 15, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. A celebration of life service will occur Saturday, August 16, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. A graveside will occur Saturday, August 16, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Woodlawn Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204.
