

She is survived by two sisters, Doris Himelrick and Iris Whitney, two children, Susan Reese and Bruce Keedy, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Marge was born on September, 14, 1926, in Raus, TN to Thurman and Mariella (Holt) Bomar. She was the oldest of four children. After graduating high school, she attended David Lipscomb College and Peabody College where she obtained a bachelor’s degree. She later earned a Master’s Degree from Tennessee State University. She taught at Otter Creek Kindergarten and and later instructed classes at Lipscomb University including child development and clothing construction.
While at Lipscomb she met Hugh Keedy and they married August 22, 1948. They were married for 62 years.
She was devoted to her family and excelled at creating a warm, welcoming environment for family gatherings. She energetically shared her time and creativity in nurturing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She and Hugh were actively involved in Otter Creek Church for over four decades where they participated in numerous service projects and developed deep, lasting friendships. In retirement years, they were also active in Bethesda and surrounding communities and were well known as amazing hosts for many delightful gatherings.
Funeral services will be at 3:00pm on Sunday, May 29 with visitation at 2:00pm at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, TN.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Made in the Streets, Wayne Reed Christian Childcare Center, or Alive Hospice.
