THOMAS, Martha L Departed this life on May 12, 2011 to be with her Lord. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Kenneth Thomas; three children, Joan Slinkard (Steve) of Nashville, Suzanne Thomas of Smyrna and Jeff Thomas of Smyrna; six grandchildren; sister, Patricia Dawson (Bill) of Birmingham AL and father, George Rodgers of Huntsville, AL. She was employed by Castner-Knott Department Store for 18 years and worked with her husband in real estate for over 20 years. A long time member of First Baptist Church in Nashville for 28 years currently a member of Christ Church for 14 years. A Memorial Service will be held on May 17, 2011 at 2 p.m. in the afternoon at the Wallace Chapel of Christ Church on Old Hickory Blvd. in Nashville. Visitation with the family will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Reverend Ken Abraham will deliver the memorial eulogy.
