

Mary Herbert “Herbie” Hill, age 80 of Lebanon, TN, departed this life May 15, 2023. A 1961 graduate of Hillsboro High School, she attended MTSU. She began her career in the Cosmetic Department at Castner Knott, retiring from Dillard’s, having worked in retail for over 30 years.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, a stunning woman of beauty both inside and out. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. She was the perfect hostess and it brought her much joy to entertain guests in her home. She especially enjoyed traveling with her family and “sister-friends”. She was a talented seamstress, quilter, decorator, and painter. She had an incredible sense of style and always looked amazing.
Preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, James D. Hill; parents, Frank Herbert & Mary Louise Wheeler. Survived by daughter, Dede (Mark) Scott; sons, Hap Crowder and Jeff Hill; beloved grandchildren, Parker Scott, Markie Scott and Holly (Douglas) Cammuse; great-grandchildren, Carson & Caroline Cammuse.
Herbie/Granny will be greatly missed by many but most of all by her heartbroken children and grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Monday, May 22, 1:30 pm at Mt Olivet Funeral Home in Nashville. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am until time of service. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers: Mark Scott, Bill Pharris, Jim Campbell, Larry Perry and in memory of Bill Bowker and Doug Hardcastle.
