Mary Elizabeth Jones, age 88, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025. She was born in rural Bedford County, TN near the southern border with Marshall County on November 16, 1936 to her parents Guy Thomas and Maggie Elizabeth Haynes Adkins who precede her in death.
There will be a Gathering of Family & Friends for Mary on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home, 429 Donelson Pike, Nashville, TN 37214. Her Celebration of Life service will be on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel at Hibbett and Hailey Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Speicht of Trinity Baptist Church of Hendersonville officiating. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers. She will be laid to rest at 11:30 AM at Hermitage Memorial Gardens 535 Shute Lane, Old Hickory, TN 37138 in the Garden of Devotion.
