Mary Helen Pritchett

Mary Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy Morgan Pritchett and Thomas M. Pritchett, stepmother, Elberta A. Pritchett, her sister, Kate Fleming, and her loving companion, Donald A. Hunt.

She was educated at Overbrook School, Palmer, Hillsboro High School and Vanderbilt University, where she met and married the late Thomas V. Harkins, the father of her children.

She is survived by her children, Tommy Harkins, Jr. (Shelley) Memphis, TN, Gary M. Harkins, NY, NY, Terri Harkins, Nashville, TN, and Dan F. Harkins, College Grove, TN, her grandsons, Tommy Harkins, III (Deborah), and Joey Harkins of Memphis, TN and her granddaughter, Sarah Pryor (Kye) of Mt. Juliet, TN and 4 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Judy Durham, Anne Duncan, Jane Pritchett, Susan Allison, and her brother Thomas M. Pritchett, Jr.

Mary Helen was a loving mother and friend, a devout Christian, and always had a smile and hug for those she knew. She will be truly missed by all the lives she touched.

There will be a private graveside service at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis, TN.
