Mary Elizabeth Zimmerman, age 91, of Old Hickory, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2014. Mrs. Zimmerman was born in Dickson, TN to the late Richard Archie and Georgianne Grant Bowker. She is preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Albert D. Zimmerman, who passed away on January 7 of this year. She is survived by her daughter, Ann Zimmerman-Glasberg and her husband, Steven; sister in law, Joann Bowker Satterfield; nieces, Susan Cox, Janet Williams, and Jennifer Clark. Funeral services for Mrs. Zimmerman will be at Eleven Thirty the morning of Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, with Pastor Larry Dearth presiding. Placement with Military Honors will follow in Woodlawn Cross Mausoleum. Mrs. Zimmerman was a member of Tulip Grove Baptist Church, served in the US Marine Corp and worked for the State of Tennessee. She was preceded in death by sisters, Annie Bowker, Rebecca Bruce, Laura Bruce and Colleen Waggner; and brothers, Richard, Howard and Billy Bowker. In lieu of customary floral tributes, memorials may be made to Alive Hospice or the charity of your choice.
