Matthew A. Stevens, 67, of Old Hickory, TN, passed away on July 17, 2024. He was born on October 18, 1956, in Knoxville, TN, to the late Thomas and Joann Stevens. Matthew was a dedicated member of Gallatin Road Baptist Church and found great joy in woodworking. He had a deep affection for his cats, who were cherished companions throughout his life.
Matthew is survived by his loving siblings: Rebecca Mills, Chuck Stevens (Kim), Jennifer Warner, and Melanie Hesson (Jerry); and his nieces and nephews: Katherine Mills, Kelsey Warner, Samuel Hesson, and Christopher Hesson.
A graveside service to honor Matthew's life will be held at 4:00 PM on Monday, July 29, 2024, at Woodlawn Memorial Park, located at 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, TN 37204.
Matthew will be remembered fondly by all who knew him for his craftsmanship, his kindness towards animals, and his devotion to his family and church community. His presence will be greatly missed.
