Melissa was definitely a one of a kind. She always had a smile even when you knew she was having a tough day. She was the epitome of a godly Kingdom Woman that the Bible speaks of and she taught us about.
They say dynamite comes in small packages and Melissa is an example of just that. Her passion for her faith and family is just immeasurable. The world was a much better place when Melissa was here. Rest In Peace with Jesus my soul sister ❤️

Dearest Mrs. McGinness, Chip, and family,
I am so very thankful for Melissa’s life! She was such a beautiful and devoted friend. She was always giving and bringing joy and laughter when we were able to visit. I will miss hearing her giggles. I will miss her this side of heaven, but Oh the reunion at heavens gates! She is dancing with Jesus. I was so sad that I was unable to be there today to celebrate her life. Prayers and much love to you all.

I worked with Melissa many, many years ago at the District Attorney’s Office, and saw her often during her many years with Judge Blackburn. She was one of the kindest individuals I know, and I will always remember her smile and her laugh. I’m so sorry for Chip and her family and friends, but I am so grateful to have known her. God bless Melissa and her family.

Melissa was the best friend you could ever hope to be blessed with. She was more than my friend; she was family. Our childhood together was wonderful. She was my encourager. I always wanted to be there for her and to help her but somehow no matter how much effort I gave, I found her always helping and encouraging me. Her beautiful heart that ached for heaven is now whole. I am comforted thinking of her being reunited with precious father, Alf and to receive her reward in the arms of Jesus. Ruth, Chip, Val, Rick and the boys and family that she so adored are in my prayers.

Melissa always met me with a smile whenever I saw her or went into Judge Blackburn's chambers. She never let on about her physical issues. She was impartial in her generosity of spirit--kind, sweet, and helpful to all regardless of who you were. Just one of the kindest persons I have known. She will be greatly missed by everyone who ever met her. Angels in heaven will be rejoicing to have such an angel join them. So glad I knew her and I know that countless others feel the same way.

Melissa was a very caring and special person. To know her was to love her. Our loss is Heavens gain. She is with her wonderful dad now. She has a new body. She is with her Jesus.

The true apple of her dad’s eye. I worked for Alf the last 6 years before he retired and I can say without a doubt Valerie and Melissa were the two most loved daughters ever and Mrs. Ruth was his one and only. He would do anything they needed him to! Alf would catch me as I walked to my office and we would sit and he shared the good as well as the worries he had for his daughters. Melissa’s health really was the top concern Alf had for his family. Melissa when you arrive at your place in Heaven beside your dad please tell him I still admire him and his love he had for his family. I think of him often and I know he will be glad to reunite with you but I know Alf is going to worry about Mrs Ruth and her loss! God Rest your soul Melissa!

We are so sorry to hear about Melissa. We always had stories to share about Melissa and Michelle. They were born the same year, both the baby of the family and both had a lot of health problems but they loved the Lord and he was always with them. Melissa was a very sweet and loving girl and will be missed every day. She is happy now with her Dad again.
