Michael Craig Bone

Mike passed away on August 30, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Karen (Knapp); his children, Patton and Emerson; his mother and step-father, Elaine and Don Skipworth of Mount Juliet; and his sister, Cheryl (Mark) Lively of Murfreesboro, brother Troy Skipworth (Allison and son Rowan) of Florence Alabama, sister Donna Ream (Billy) of Cincinnati Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Bone.

Born on April 12, 1971, Mike was a life-long resident of Nashville. He was a 1989 graduate of Brentwood High School and a 1993 graduate of The University of Alabama where he was a member of The Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity.

Mike was a charismatic and creative leader at AMSURG for nearly two decades, most recently as Senior Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions for Envision Healthcare.

In his spare time, Mike was a devoted father to his two girls. He was an avid golfer and member of Vanderbilt Legends Club for 21 years. He could be found most fall Saturdays cheering on his beloved Crimson Tide football team. He was a longtime member of Calvary United Methodist Church.

He will be laid to rest in a private funeral service. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations be made to either The Bone Family Education Trust; 9485 Waterfall Rd; Brentwood, TN 37027 or to Calvary United Methodist Church; Nashville, TN.
