He was born in Nashville, TN on November 5th, 1938. Michael graduated from Father Ryan High School and went on to serve our country as a Navy Seebee.
He worked as a Firefighter for the Metro Nashville Fire Department while raising two children as a single father. He retired as Captain.
He is survived by his sister, Shirley Ann Milligan, his son, Shannon Lee O’Connor and daughter, Tish Walker. He has seven grandchildren: Michael, Dillon, Randy, Kyle, Mary, Jimmy and Holly Cole. He has two great grandchildren from Dillon: Blaine and Torrin Cole.
Funeral arrangements will be held on Monday June 24th at Mt. Olivet Funeral Home & Cemetery in Nashville, TN. Public 11-1p.m., service at 1 p.m. and burial at 2:30.
