
A fine Christian man passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on the 14th of December 2012 at the age of 95. Murry was born near Pensacola, Florida on the 20th of August 1917. He served his Country honorably in the United States Army during World War II. Shortly after his discharge, he and his new bride, Katy, moved to Nashville where he resided for the remainder of his life. A retired businessman, Murry was the treasurer of the Mizpah Sunday School class and served as deacon to his beloved Belmont Heights Baptist Church. He was a fifty year Master Mason of the Corinthian Lodge Number 414 and a member of the Scottish Rite in the Valley of Nashville. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Katherine Best Reeves; daughter, Patti Reeves Gregory (Ken); daughter, Pam Reeves Loftin (Joe); granddaughter, Kaycie Loftin Woodard (Chris); granddaughter, Jenny Loftin White (Justin); granddaughter, Kate Gregory Goodin (Nathan); grandson, Kendall Gregory (Ginger), and great grandsons, Derek, Russ and Caleb Woodard and Carson White. Services will be held on Tuesday, the 18th of December at twelve noon at Woodlawn Funeral Home with visitation with the family being held that morning from ten o'clock up until the time of service.
