Ozra Najimi Naeini was born in Nain, Iran on November 26, 1924. Her father Mahmoud was an educator, while her mother Sakineh was a homemaker. Ozra lost her mother at the young age of 16. She had one sister, Robabeh, and four brothers, Mohammad, Abdul-Ali, Ahmad, and Moosa. She married Hassan Zafar Mohtashami in March of 1950. They were happily married for 51 years when her husband passed away in 2001. Ozra and Hassan had 5 sons together, Amir Mohtasham, Amir Massoud, Mozaffar, Amir Homayoun, and Esfandiar. Ozra dedicated her life to taking care of her family. Amir Mohtasham and his two daughters, Yasamin Zafar (her husband Troels Børrild, and children Ella Lou & Marlo), and Samannaz (her husband Tobias Balskilde Hansen, and children Elise & Arthur) live in Denmark. Amir Massoud, his wife Fariba and Daughter Farnaz live in Iran. Mozaffar lives in Connecticut. Amir Homayoun, his wife Fatima, and daughters Kimiya and Nadia live in Connecticut. Esfandiar, his wife, Parinaz and children Camellia and Kia live in Nashville, TN. Ozra moved to the United States in 2002 and lived with his son Mazaffar in Stamford, Connecticut. Ozra passed away September 25, 2017. Other than her sons, daughter in laws, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, Ozra is survived by her older brother Abdul-Ali and many loving sister and brother in laws, nieces, and nephews.
