Patrick S Hoffman

Patrick loved life, his family, cooking with gadgets and his music. For the past thirteen years, Patrick has been the primary caregiver for his mother, Pattie M Hoffman (William - deceased 2011).

He is the beloved younger brother of Margaret Hoffman Skene (Gerald) and brother-in-law to Sherrie B Hoffman (Bill - deceased 2009).

And the “crazy uncle" to his four nieces: Melissa Hildebrand, Lauren Hoffman Marasa (Nick), Lindsey Hoffman, Rachel Hoffman Harris (Ballenger) and musical uncle to his two great nephews, Emerson Marasa and Weston Marasa, and great niece Madison Marasa.

Patrick was always fascinated with technology and music, and he loved to introduce musical instruments to his nieces and nephews. He designed special guitars for friends and family to show his love for them. Above all Patrick loved his family, most especially his mother.

Patrick was born in Nashville, Tennessee, grew up in West Nashville and graduated from Father Ryan High School where he was a founding member of the school band.

Patrick moved to Florida and earned an Associate Degree in Technology at Manatee Technical College in Bradenton. In 2003 Patrick became a team member at Progressive Insurance and has been honored as an outstanding employee many times over the past 21 years.

Patrick's colorful personality and life force will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Truly he was unique in his approach to life, and we are all richer for having him in our family circle.

A funeral Mass will be held on November 8th, at 10:00 am at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Nashville, TN and interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Patrick's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
