
Paul Winton Turner McKelvey, age 59, was born on January 26, 1955 and died September 21, 2014 in Nashville, TN. He was the son of the late W. Gordon McKelvey, Jr. Survivors include his mother, Elizabeth Turner McKelvey, his two brothers, W. Gordon McKelvey, III, (Suzy Wilson) of Nashville, TN, John R. McKelvey, (Laura Duncan) of Chapel Hill, NC; their two sons, Joshua (Caitlin) and Carey McKelvey.
Paul was predeceased by paternal grandparents, W. Gordon McKelvey, Sr. and Ruby Waller McKelvey; maternal grandparents, Paul Winton Turner and Elizabeth Gebhart Turner, all of Nashville, TN.
Paul attended Woodmont Elementary School, West End Junior High School, and was a graduate of Hillsboro High School. He received an Associate of Arts Degree from Aquinas Junior College and a Bachelor of Science Degree, majoring in Communications and Photography, from Middle Tennessee State University.
He was associated for many years with Dury’s Photo and Camera Stores serving as manager of its West End and White Bridge Road locations. He enjoyed and provided camera coverage for many weddings and special events in Nashville and surrounding areas of Tennessee and the mid-south region. At the time of his death, Paul was associated with Verus Health Care.
On Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Marshall-Donnely-Combs Funeral Home, visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Duncan Sings-Alone, of Upton, Massachusetts and The Rev. Amy Busse, United Presbyterian Church, Shawnee, Oklahoma.
At 3:00 p.m. a gathering to celebrate Paul’s life will be hosted by the W.R.C. Stewart Family at 9001 Oden Court, Brentwood, TN.
