Polly C Hogan

Born March 15, 1951, Polly Craig Hogan died unexpectedly from complications after surgery on August 19, 2024. She was surrounded by her loving children and family as she peacefully left her earthly life. She was the daughter of the late Wade Moore Craig Jr and the late Polly Nelson Craig. Polly is survived by her children, Wade Tyler Hogan (Amie) Cos Cob, CT, Andrew Gage Hogan (Caroline), Chicago, IL and Polly (“Molly”) Craig Hogan, Nashville, TN; grandchildren Fischer Hogan and Maddie Hogan, Cos Cob, CT, Beau Hogan and Scarlett Hogan, Chicago, IL, Landen Crouch and Jack Crouch, Nashville, TN. She is also survived by her sister, Margaret Chamblin Craig, her aunts Mary Elizabeth Nelson (also Polly’s Godmother), Carole Minton Nelson and Sandra Carrington Nelson. She was additionally blessed with a host of Nelson, Payne, Burch and Stevens first cousins.

She graduated from Harpeth Hall School, attended the University of Alabama and graduated from George Peabody College.

Polly’s greatest joy in life were her children and grandchildren. Visits, facetimes and phone calls were always cherished times for her. She was so proud of the accomplishments of her three children and cheered every milestone that each of her grandchildren made. She also had a great love for all animals, most especially her many family dogs throughout her life.

Polly was a gentle soul with a heart of gold. Though she had many struggles throughout her life, she did the absolute best she could in all endeavors. And she was loved by many. In her later years, she found comfort in leading a quiet and simple life. She will be greatly missed.

The family would also like to express their deepest appreciation for the love and support of her close friends, Linda and Deanna. A memorial service will be held on Friday September 13th at 3:30 PM, St George’s Episcopal Church, 4715 Harding Pike Nashville, TN 37205 with interment in the Church Columbarium to follow.
