Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Marshall-Donnelly-Combs Funeral Home and at 10 a.m., Friday, November 6, 2015 at Christ Church Cathedral, with funeral services at 11 a.m. Burial at Calvary Cemetery will follow. Pallbearers will be his nephews.
Mr. Fitzgerald was born December 25, 1945 to the late Ralph and Margaret Fitzgerald. He was a 1963 graduate of Father Ryan High School. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Rita Thomas.
Mr. Fitzgerald is survived by his wife, Aggie Spelta Fitzgerald, by his sons and daughters-in-law: Mike and Christine Fitzgerald of Knoxville and Pat and Stacey Fitzgerald of Louisville, Kentucky, and by his stepson Brian Gurley, his wife Whitney, and their three children.
Mr. Fitzgerald will be remembered for his kind and generous spirit, his talent for home restoration and renovation, his warmth and hospitality, and his loving devotion to his family.
