

Ralph Douglas Stevens, born 10-11-33 passed away after a long-fought battle to go meet his lord and many family and friends before him. Born the son of Thomas & Nannie Mae in Hartsville, TN and moved to Nashville at 18 years of age. Proceeded in death by his parents, brother Charles and three sisters Betrice Carman, Loreen Forbis and Willie Mae Meriwether. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Teddy (Irene), a blended family, son Terry (Anita) Stevens, daughter Cathey Stevens Helton (Don), Brenda Hogge Smotherman (Tim), Carla Hogge Mills (Steve), Brian Hogge (Jackie). Many much-loved nieces and nephews, 14 grandchildren, & 15 great grandchildren.
He served in the TN National guard and was a member of the Rotary Club. He was a long time member of the TN Home Builders Assoc. He held his realtors license from 1959 selling 100’s of homes that lead into Development and building of many Apartments, Condo’s and Subdivisions, he became one of Nashville’s largest home builders. In his spare time he loved traveling through many countries and areas of the world. He loved his TN Titians and was a founding member of the team. He enjoyed boating and fishing on many area lakes. His favorite times were enjoyed by gathering all his family and friends and spending time cooking and socializing.
There will be a very private burial due to the viral restrictions with a celebration of a beautiful life to follow at a later date to be announced. Service will be officiated by Bro. Roger Eakin. Ralph was a long-standing member and Deacon of Glenwood Baptist Church. Grandsons to be pallbearers, Taylor Parrish, Shane Stevens, Donnie Jones, Brent Anderson, Chris Cheng, Jason Scott & Landon Mills. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
