

Richard Lawrence Moore, Sr., age 80, of Watertown, Tennessee passed away on December 18, 2020. He was born in Nashville, Tennessee on February 3, 1940 to Alta Alice (Ashburn) Moore and George Edward Moore, Sr. Mr. Moore is also followed in death by his wife, Ruby Nell (Edde) Moore who passed away just 12 days after him; grandson, Dylan Quick; and siblings, Mary Lorell Craig, Mildred McSwinney, Billie Jones, Peggy Harris, Francis George, Edward Moore, Jr., James Moore, and Danny Moore. He is survived by children, Sandra Quick (Daryl), Richard Moore, Jr. (Cindi), Michael Moore (Tammy), and Janice Moore; grandchildren, Jacob Quick, Scott Nance, Brandon Quick (Kateland), Devin Moore, Matthew Moore, and Molly Moore; great-grandchildren, Braxton Garcia, Gracie Wooten, Izabelle Quick, Jackson Quick, and Charlotte Quick; and siblings, Charles Moore, Patsy Taylor, and Robert Moore.
Mr. Moore graduated from West End High School and retired from the United States Postal Service. He enjoyed attending Vanderbilt basketball games, bowling, watching sports, and spending time with his family. Mr. Moore was involved with Bowling Leagues, attended College Hills Church of Christ, and was a former deacon at Ashwood Church of Christ.
Mr. Moore was kind and supportive. He had an unwavering faith and commitment to his family. Mr. Moore was a strong man of faith. His faith was seen in every area of his life, especially in his strong work ethic and in how he raised his children.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held for Mr. & Mrs. Moore on Tuesday, January 5, 2020 from four o’clock until eight o’clock at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2020 at eleven o’clock with a one hour gathering prior to the service at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
