Robert T. Harston, Nashville, TN, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 4, 2017. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jeff and Ettie Lane; and his daughter-in-law, Debi Harston. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Dorothy Harston; and his two children, Thomas Harston and Robert A. Harston (Julie). Mr. Harston also has three grandchildren, Palmer Williams (Joseph), Taylor Wiedemann (Seth), and Aphiew Harston; three great-grandchildren, Walter and Cora Wiedemann and Jack Williams. Mr. Harston was born in Glasgow, KY, and was a graduate of Franklin High School in Franklin, KY. He was a hard-working, joyful man beloved by all, working as a horse trainer with his father, milkman, and a mail courier. Mr. Harston was a great story teller and avid reader of history. He loved sports and his passion was playing golf with friends along with regular visits to the Masters which he looked forward to each year. Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service on Tuesday, February 7, 2017, held at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home at one o’clock in the afternoon and join them for visitation from eleven-thirty until service time.
