Dad always talked about what he wanted to write in his obituary, very specific and rightfully so, he had such an interesting and incredible life, but if you know our dad, you know he procrastinated and never did.

One of the last things dad said was, tell Willy I’m on the last turn at the end of the road. And most people would be joking…nope, not our dad. Talking about knowing Willy, or Mac Davis or David Allen Coe, Eddie Arnold, Vicki Carr, Olivia Newton-John, Roger Miller, Earl Scruggs, Liberty Records, the Chipmunks, CBS Records, being a state trooper, working at a television station…owning a radio station (104.5) and a BMW/Volkswagen Dealership...all while, our father charmed every single person he met.

Toni and I wish he would have written that book he promised as we could never do his life justice, but those that know and love him experienced his amazing stories as only he could tell them and we saw his heart for whatever he was doing. He knew so much about so many different things and of course, dad was on a pedestal to my sister Toni and me when we were young, riding us around on a big boat, or picking us up in a Rolls Royce, or riding on a plane to Los Angeles and New York, but one of the best, him chauffeuring friends around in David Allen Coe’s limo.

He had something tragic happen later in life and through that we got to see who he really was, an at the core moral, honest and hardworking man that wouldn’t let what would destroy most, destroy him. That was the biggest lesson of all…watching him overcome tragedy with grace and dignity just as he was.

Your friends and other family, 4 great grandchildren, 2 grandchildren and 2 children will miss you Daddy-O, aka Pops, aka Mario and Ronnie, we are thankful for your life… Peace is with you.
