Doug (Pok) was born on June 9, 1942 in Corinth, MS to the parents of Estel and Irene Jones. Doug “kicked the bucket” on March 18, 2016 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Doug led a great life, had many friends, loved ones and always did it his way. During the holiday season Doug, was known as Santa and Pok to many families and children in the area. As a truck driver for Walmart he delivered Easter baskets and toys to little soldiers at Fort Campbell. He never met a stranger and always had a smile on his face. Pok will be sorely missed. Doug is survived by his faithful dog, Buddy; mother, Irene Jones of Corinth, MS; former wife and long-time friend, Gwen (Daisy) Jones; children, Donnie Jones, Sr. (Betty) of Bemidji, MN, Denise Jones of Nashville, TN and Danny Hubble (Vivian) of Portland, TN; 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Peggy Mayhall; and brother, Danny Jones (Gail). Visitation will be held from four o’ clock in the evening until eight on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at two-thirty in the afternoon on Monday, March 21, 2016 at Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall with visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers the family request smiles, stories, and your favorite picture be brought to visitation.
