

Ruby was born on June 12, 1929 in Harriman Tennessee.
Preceded in death by husband of 60 years, Eula Pitts; son, Stephen Carter Pitts; father, Earl Carter; mother, Bertha Carter; brothers, Howard and Raymond Carter; and grandson, Stephen Pitts.
Ruby is survived by sons, Mark Pitts (Susan), Craig Pitts (Amanda) and daughter, Nancy Pitts Church (John); grandsons, Jason Pitts, Carter Pitts, and Jack Church; and granddaughters, Megan Pitts and Lauren Cooper.
Mrs. Pitts was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt. She devoted her life to the care and happiness of her family. Alongside her husband, Mrs. Pitts worked for many years running Pitts and Associates, a local Nashville architectural firm. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church in Nashville, and more recently Brentwood Baptist Church.
Funeral service will be held three o’clock at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home on Sunday, July 12, 2015 with visitation two hours prior. Gayle Haywood officiating. Grandsons and nephews will serve as Pallbearers.
The family would also like to thank Mrs. Diana Lockwood who has been a faithful friend and caregiver to Mrs. Pitts for the past five years.
