Margaret Ruth Dennison, lovingly known as “Ruth” even better known as “MeMa” by her grandchildren, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on November 27, 1937, Ruth lived a life rooted in faith, love, and devotion to her family.
Ruth was a woman of deep faith who loved reading her Bible and was known for her strong religious beliefs. She found joy in simple pleasures such as sewing, quilting, doing word searches, and watching ION television. She also enjoyed spending time outdoors doing yard work. During her younger years, she was proudly voted Ms. Big Sandy in high school, a memory she often shared with a smile.
Above all, Ruth cherished her family. She was married to her beloved husband, William “Bill” Dennison, for 67 wonderful years, a testament to their enduring love and commitment.
Ruth is survived by her son, Phillip (Patty) Dennison; her grandchildren, Clint, Stefanie, and Eric; and her great-grandchild, Autumn. She also leaves behind many extended family members and loved ones who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Porter and Novella McDaniel, as well as seven siblings.
A private service will be held to honor Ruth’s life.
Ruth will be remembered for her kind heart, her unwavering faith, and the love she shared so freely with those around her.
