Scotty G Adams Sr.

Scotty G Adams Sr., age 68, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023. He was born on April 21, 1955 in Nashville, TN to James and Colyne Callis Adams. Scotty married the love of his life, Cynthia Lynn Pirtle on September 20, 1973 in their hometown of Nashville.

He spent majority of his career working as a diesel mechanic for Yellow Freight. Scotty’s passions outside of working were muscle cars, fishing, playing poker and spending time with his family. His pride and joy was his companion, Shelby. She was his gentle giant and never left his side through everything. He loved and doted on Shelby so much in the 8 years he had with her.

Scotty is survived by his daughter, Julie (Brian) Berkon; Son, Scott Adams; Grandchildren, Zachary Berkon, Andrew Berkon, Jacob Berkon, Nathan Berkon, Hayley Adams, Madison Adams and Nicolas Adams; Great-Grandchildren, Lucas, Scarlet and Colton; Siblings, Anthony “Carl” Adams and Phillip Alvin Adams.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Cynthia Lynn Pirtle; Parents, James and Colyne Adams; Sister, Sandra Gail Shaffer; Brother, James Richard Adams “Ricky”.

A Celebration of Life for Scotty will be held Wednesday November 15, 2023 at 2:30 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, 660 Thompson Lane Nashville, TN 37204. Burial will follow the service in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
