

Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by his devoted and beloved wife of 68 years Thelma Cooper, his loving son Larry Cooper, his parents Otho Cooper Sr. and Addie Lena Cooper, his brothers Otho Cooper Jr., Douglas Leamon Cooper, his sisters Eilleen Crowell, Verna Litton, and Elaine Fisher, also two great-great-grandchildren born to Katie (Landon) Stanford.
He leaves behind to honor his memory and life his sons Taylor (Lauren) Cooper Jr., Thomas Haynes and Roger Haynes, a daughter-in-law Kathy Cooper, brother Stanley (Delores) Cooper, sisters Ruth Johnson, Helen Barker, and Faye Mackay, a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren and numerous friends. Mr. Cooper was a member of the greatest generation and was a World War II veteran of the USMC. He was a member of Antioch Church of Christ. He will be remembered for his family, his dedication and his values of life.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 2 from noon to eight o’clock in the evening at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, and Wednesday, December 3 from ten-thirty to eleven-thirty followed by the funeral service. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Service to be conducted by Brother Bill Highsmith.
Pallbearers include Gary McDaniel Mitchell, Douglas Kyle Mitchell, Michael Cooper, Adam Duke, Scott Cooper, Bobby Prentice. Honorary Pallbearers are Masonic Lodge 612, 3rd Marine Division of the USMC. Songs by Lee Dozier.
In Lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to the wounded warrior project or the Pheonix Burn Camp of the Nashville Fire Department.
