

She was born on July 9, 1952, in Woodbury, Tennessee, to Hoyte A. Vance and Radene Cummings Vance. Treva was married to Jeff Burrus in Nashville, Tennessee, in August 2008. The two met while attending Park Center and shared many years of love and companionship.
Treva was a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University and worked in the accounting department of Kroger for many years. She was a devoted member of the Church of Christ and loved participating in church activities and community events. She deeply valued her faith and her family, bringing people together with her kindness and warmth.
She is survived by her sister, Deby (Craig) Farrar; sisters-in-law, Linda Vance and Judy Beasley; mother-in-law, Patricia Williams; and several nieces and nephews. Treva was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jeff Burrus; her parents, Radene and Hoyte Vance; and her brothers, Jerry, Terry, and Jimmy Vance.
Treva was known for her gentle spirit, her loyal friendship, her love of reading and sewing, and her ability to make others feel welcome and loved. She was an excellent seamstress, making her own clothes and clothes for her niece. She loved making quilts and cross stitching. Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew her, but her memory will live on forever in the lives she touched.
A graveside service for Treva will be held on Monday, February 24, 2025, from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 600 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37211.
She will be missed dearly, but her legacy of love and kindness will endure.
