William L. Bass, Sr., 92, of Nashville, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Alive Hospice. William was born on March 4, 1927 in Nashville, the son of Frank H. Bass and Myrtle McKenzie Bass. He married Dorothy Crain on January 2, 1947 at Westend Methodist Church in Nashville, and they were able to spend over 72 years of wedded bliss together.
Surviving is his wife, Dorothy; children, Suzanne (Thomas) Brewer, William Bass, Jr., and Jeanne (John) Freeman; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are his parents; twin brother, and one sister.
A gathering of friends and family will be from ten o'clock in the morning until twelve o'clock in the afternoon with burial of cremated remains at twelve o'clock on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home and Memorial Park. Military honors will be provided at the graveside.
